When the Menninger Clinic shared the vision for their annual report, they were very specific about the image they wanted to portray: “Only Human.”

Lifestyle photography can bring any topic to life, and in the case of the Menninger Clinic, which focuses on mental health and addiction recovery, it brings a much needed representation of their work to funders and other invested parties. 

Capturing both headshots and lifestyle content was an exciting challenge. The project required shooting in different locations at varied times. Replicating a consistent studio look meant measuring each detail and fine tuning lighting and other technical details to guarantee the right look. 

The outcome was a beautiful and refreshing rendition of the people behind the scenes of a clinic doing important work. Whether it’s an organization whose mission focuses on social service, or one with a different aim, adding photographs can tell the compelling story behind the work.
